Re: diablo intune

It will be a huge improvement over stock. I have CMR tune from HemiFever and it is way better than canned tunes.
Diablo preloaded tune upgrade
IMHO the best upgrade.

Re: diablo intune

ok i installed it today with the 91 tune. cant tell a difference except with the trans. i had a bully dog on an f250 years ago and this one doesnt give the same improved performance. however i didnt really expect it. i do like the fact that you can save custom tunes. ill be playing with it more tomorrow to see what i can do.

Re: diablo intune

As already mentioned, get a CMR Hemifever tune. I noticed no difference with the canned 91 Diablo tune other than trans, then loaded the CMR 93 from Hemifever and what a big improvement. I run the CMR 93 tune in warmer weather, and 87 in winter.

Re: diablo intune

Hemifever does all the programming and the Intune plugs into the OBDII port. YOu then datalog and email back to him, and he adjusts from there if you have bolt ons. An exhaust is not a bolt on upgrade that changes anything from stock though. Aftermarket exhaust does nothing for performance, just makes noise, same for CAI on the 5.7. The flow restriction is in the log style exhaust manifolds.
I would not buy CMR software and program yourself unless that is what you do for a living, on these engines. A CMR tune is the best bang for buck upgrade out there for the 5.7. I ran a 2015 Overland Hemi yesterday and totally left him in the dust.

this is a crock of crap. if they really do nothing as you say then I wouldn't have picked up speed from my exhaust. and they would not be dyno proven.

intakes and exhaust are dyno proven to make power over stock. quite spreading you anti intake/exhaust lies!

prove me wrong. I dare you

What a load of crap, you only have to look at the huge stock muffler under the WK/WH hemi or the stupid intake plenum to know that it will be improved with easy changes.

X at least 3 on this. A CMR tune for a non-modified or slightly modified Hemi is one of the worst bangs for the buck you can get. If you have a highly modifed (much more than mine....see signature) Hemi, then a CMR tune may be well worth it. To say a good exhaust or intake doesn't do anything is just totally wrong. I run "canned" tunes on both my Hemi's which are modified almost exactly the same.....DS 93 CAI on my LX and SC 91 w/ATT App. on the WK.

Also, the data logs you send in to get your CMR come from output data from your narrow band (not very accurate) O2 Sensors. With a DS tuner, if you have a way of monitoring air/fuel ratio (I use my DashHawks) you can adjust your own WOT fuel mixtures and WOT timing. The "canned" tunes on both the DS and SC tuners indicate a 13/1 A/F ratio on both my vehicles. You'd need wide band O2's to get it more accurate. The DS folks can't legally do a thing with the cruise fuel mixture.....just remap the timing curves and maybe a few other minor tweaks. So where's the big benefit?

When I modded both my vehicles, everyone told me I couldn't advance the cams as it wouldn't work.....it works great; they told me I couldn't run a stock tune as it would ruin the engine.....you can, but it does work like crap...mostly poor transmission operation; they told me I had to have a "custom" tune.....you don't...I've been running "canned" tunes on both mine for almost 4 years now, without any issues. My normal highway fuel economy on the WK is 22-23 mpg, and I've taken more than a full second off my quarter mile time.....all by using an "ineffective", "inferior" non stock exhaust and other mods that "don't/won't" work, and without a custom tune.

As for beating a 2015 Hemi, well it's about 600 lbs. heavier to start with. My Hemi LX is about 600 lbs. lighter than the WK (and has slightly better aerodynamics) and it runs about a half second quicker than the WK. Added weight makes a big difference. Cut the 2015 down to your weight, or add 600 lbs. to yours, and he'd blow your doors off.

Dsmfun doesn't understand this. He is one of those if it ain't stock its crap guys. I myself have taken a full second off my 1/8th mile times with "inferior" mods and canned tune from Hypertec.

I wanna run his 5.7 and see where my 3.7 stacks up
