engine bulid for 3.7

i was wondering if the rods from a 4.7 will infact work in the 3.7, i know the bores are exactly the same but the stroke in the 3.7 is slightly longer, is this the rods that cause this or is there a slightly longer throw in the crank?

Bore is 3.66in
Stroke is 3.40in

according to the haynes manual this is the same in the 4.7 and 3.7
but another website has the stroke for the 3.7 at 3.57in.
http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_engines.htm#SPECS

i am planing something big for the 3.7

Re: engine bulid for 3.7

i should elaborate more on what im planing
i plan on replacing rods and pistons with forged ones from ROSS
Ross forged H-beam style rods, and forged pistons that have the ring lands a little lower on the piston.
im also looking at the heads from airram.

this is to get it ready for 8-10 pounds of boost from a custom remote turbo set up

i just need the rod length clarified

Re: engine bulid for 3.7

I'd worry about a tuning solution before even getting that far.
