hey guys as you can see i am new here.. i just got a 2005 jeep grand cherokee 4.7l v8. i have been looking on this forums for a while and i have been thru a lot of thread on here. but still it is hard to get answers on these threads cuz not everyone gives clear answers on whats the best after market exhaust and intake..

Yep! This one...click on the install instructions on lower left of page and it shows direct connect to TB, replaces entire OEM setup....

CEL', not if you weld in new screw sockets for any 02 sensors you dislocate....in Ohio you wouldn't stand a chance in an emissions check without baffled mufflers/resonators and cats. If u r avoiding the major issues by leaving cats and 02 sensors alone u might have a chance, in OH.

You don't mention your state, as that is up to your local emissions laws.
For any state that follows California, the answer is yes, it is an automatic flunk to use straight pipes or eliminate the cats and mufflers.
Other places as long as it meets emissions and does not leak...
Honestly don't know if you'd get a CEL as long as you leave cats and the sensors in place.

You could risk a J C Whitney "catalyst diagnostic replacement" which is a straight pipe...

Flowmaster is too noisy for me, the drone gets annoying. They aren't the loudest.

Noise !=power so don't be surprised if you get LESS power than you'd get with a performance high flow catalyst and an ultra low restriction cat back.

K+N and a good 3 inch exhaust system from your favorite brand should help, although opinions differ as to whether a 2.5 inch might actually provide better off the line performance.

Got any 4Wheel Parts or specialty Jeep places in the area?
Friendly service manager/mechanic at a dealer willing to discuss 3rd party stuff?

They were badass on my 340ci 70 challenger with blackjack headers in 1981

Had never heard the word "drone" at the ripe age of 16 :0
