Re: Exhaust/Muffler

I had a flowmaster 50 big block 3'' dual in 2.5'' dual out muffler for about a 1000 miles... way too loud.. with the magnaflow SRT8 mid pipes. I have also run two 12'' flowmaster hushpowers on a single 2.5'' system... pretty good rumble. Going to switch to a 3'' system with a magnaflow 24'' muffler soon.

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

Would you guys recommend Flomaster 40 series or Flomaster super 44?
I want a deep kinda loud sound for a fast take off. But i still want to be able to hear my music good.

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

Loud does not mean fast. The restriction is in the log style exhaust manifold, not anywhere south of there. For about the same cost of a catback and the install, you can get 2 mods that will make your hemi run much better at all rpm's and are both easy to install; the MM CNC ported 85 mm TB and the Apexi super voltage grounding kit. The Hemi now runs circles around the mods I had before and ditched; i.e., the AFE II CAI, and Magnaflow catback.

I find it funny that you list the proper restriction point, which is the exhaust manifold, but then list ways to increase power by TB modifications, which are basically up by the intake manifold...
