Exhaust/Muffler

I was thinking about getting a muffler for my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited ( 5.7L, V8, Hemi) and I was wondering what what muffler to get. I was thinking either Flowmaster or Magnaflow. Which sounds better? I want a deep sound but I want it to be pretty loud also. Which would be the best for a V8 Hemi? And about how much do they cost? Thanks! Not looking to spend a lot on it.

Any advice or comments will be helpful!

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

How much for the Flowmaster? And did you have it professionally done? How much for Install?

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

Personally I would buy a Magnaflow 14" muffler. I have the exact one and its the best sounding vehicle in town. Its got a low sporty tone to it. I have had many people comment on how nice it sounds.

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

Go with a Magnaflow Cat-Back. I love mine. Plus I have no drone. I painted everything from the resonator back since I don't like too much chrome.

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

My system is fully custom from the y pipe back. 2.5" tubing into a Y for the dual tips cost me $300 for the install I provided the muffler and tips. Jegs sells cheap tips check them out!

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

Grrr now I want to buy an exhaust again ;(

Ok all it took was for me to look up the Magnaflow system on Amazon and realize that I'm not spending $500 on a catback.

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

If you want a loud exhaust. Flowmaster is the way to go. But to be loud means to have drone. But it is definitely a more agressive tone on the Flowmaster delta 40 and 44.

Re: Exhaust/Muffler

That's a good question... I have no issues with a 3.7L and noticing the drone at 2400K and 3500K with music at moderate levels the cabin drone is replaced by the music. With a V8 I would only consider a flowmaster with an SRT8. The magnaflow sounds so good with a 5.7 Hemi, but the SRT8 and flowmaster is all balls.
