Happy with fuel mileage

I took my 2008 Grand Cherokee hemi on a 900 mile round trip the past week and I am happy with the overall average fuel mileage. Me and the wife, with a full cargo load. I'm estimating total vehicle weight of close to 5200 pounds. Going 70mph with the a/c on I averaged 19.5 mpg according to the instrument cluster. I did a real calculation when filling up and the cluster was only .25 mpg off. The only mods I have is an Airaid intake tube and a k&n drop in filter.
I have a bluetooth android app called torque. So I monitored the engine stats and I noticed that the engine load has to be under 50% at cruising for the MDS to activate.

Re: Happy with fuel mileage

I drove 1025 miles from colorado to central california. Average 20.5 mpg. The 80 mph sections in utah reallyhurt the averages but happy overall. $150 so far for gas. Headed back to CO on saturday.

Re: Happy with fuel mileage

just did 1100 from pa to charlotte nc. got as high as 19.3 and averaged 18. Had ac on for the way home. no tuner on. should have plugged it in for the ride home to see the difference.

Re: Happy with fuel mileage

I was happy as all hell when I calculated 16.5 after a trip to the beach (200 mi round trip).
