what is hoat coolent, do you need that for a 4.7l gc?

Hybrid Organic Additive Technology. Yes you need it. You can either get the dealer stuff or some Zerex G-05.

Picked up some from the dealer, $26 total.

Mine had a slight drip from the thermostat housing. Solved by installing a $4 gasket from a local parts store. Hasn't leaked since.
