It handles like it's on rails, and I love driving it on the twisties, especially coming out of corners. I've got the transmission shift schedules set up so it downshifts with very little additional throttle coming out of corners. I love it. I'd love to drive yours though, because, as I think I told you, I still have a soft spot for the 6's. Next summer I am even thinking of entering it in the local Sports Car Club of America's twisty (slolum) competition at the fairgrounds. That should be a hoot.
ah but yours is set up, stock for stock, mine will out corner a 4wd. and I have way more then just headers on mine too. theres really only one are I haven't yet touched, that is my suspension. throw your set up on mine and see how it is with a better weight balance. now I agree with greenwayer to a point that a 4wd handles better, if we were talking dirt or gravel or even off road all together...

4wd just mean you get stuck in more in accessible places

Case in point, my v6 is not only lighter, but its mounted lower and farther back then your hemi giving me a much better weight balance, and without 4WD it only helps the weight balance more. I will rather drive a car that is somewhat loose in the rear then one that wont turn going into a corner. One last thing, 500+ pounds is a little more then negligible in the corners. I give it to you it wont matter much on a straight because the hemi power makes up for it, but a litter car will always handle better.

BUT I agree with you on one thing...I do get better fuel mileage even if the difference is negligible
I think it really depends on who is behind the wheel.

Just drive it as hard as the ESP/Traction Control will allow you. You can still hang it out pretty good before it kicks in.

Re: Horrible, I mean really bad, mpg on my hemi

My 5.7 is, normal 13-14 city with a high of 15 (depending on amt. of stop/go), and 21-22 hwy (normal) with a high of 24.2. Still working to improve it a little more without tearing into the engine anymore. Also, add SLP 25% UD pulley and BBK 85mm throttle body to list of mods. below.

Re: Horrible, I mean really bad, mpg on my hemi

replace the fluids, add a catch can, replace sensors, replace plugs and wires, and do a Seafoam treatment.

If you do not have records for tune up, it sounds like the spark plugs are well past the 30k mark, which would contribute to poor mpg. Also, you need to remove the TB from the engine and clean everything until there are no black deposits anywhere and it looks new. Removing the 4 bolts and connector takes all of 1 minute, and it's a LOT easier to clean off the vehicle. Then put on the catch can, or you will have to clean it all over again.

Comical how the guy with a worn out stock suspension on his V6 2WD says how great it handles...lol..you will quickly change your opinion with one stint behind the wheel of my AWD Hemi; one hard cornering motha with the Koni's and SRT bars.
