I looked at my lines and and the only one I saw was the pcv breather hose cracked but I'm not sure it will make a difference? All the reading pass my scanners self tests. I never been to a mechanic becuase I fix it myself, lol.

I remember when I did a scan and it shows that everything is fine so if I were I would get that fixed and I'm still learning about engines cause something small can cause the engine not to run rite eventhough the computer doesn't pick it up when it should

Often times a computer will not create codes so your scanner will not pick up anything wrong. BUT, some scanners have a test option which will monitor live readings from the sensors and check if they are correct therefore all together bypassing the computer. My tests also came out clean. I am wondering if the cracked pcv hose can actually impact the mpg though?

So you're saying you got 300 miles on a full tank after driving 6 hours with cruise control on? Haha shocker. No way in hell you got 300 miles a tank in mixed city/hwy driving lol I also have an '05 Wk Hemi with 128,867 mikes and TRUST me I've done almost everything on this forum and I still only get 12.5-14 mpg mixed and 19-21 mpg at best STRICTLY highway also without ever resetting the EVIC. Granted I don't have a cam mod but still seems far fetched.

Actually he never said it was mixed city and highway. He just said it was on 1 tank of gas. So 300 miles hwy is easily possible. His numbers for city and hwy are lower than yours too.

No I mean today when they fixed some problems with my jeep I got over 300 miles and when I drove to my parents house 6 hours away I was getting 19.5 miles a gallon when I left it on cruise control but when I drive from Erie, pa to new York to Salamanca, new York I was getting about 14 to almost 15. Plus I used 93 octane now and it showed 206 till empty until my mechanic fixed the vacuum leak and re-tuned it since it ruunning rich I'm getting over 300 miles on this tank

Re: Horrible, I mean really bad, mpg on my hemi

Yes, it is easily possible, with the proper mods. and vehicle configuration. My guess is he's using EVIC numbers, and not hand caluclating. With all my mods. (see signature) and MDS (which he says he doesn't have anymore) the very best I've ever gotten (at altitudes above ~2500 ft/ hilly, mountainous) is 24 mpg.....all highway, and the MDS working more than 90% of the time. I almost always get above 20 mpg, and usually around 22 mpg driving the highways where I live. If I shut the MDS off, I'll take an immediate ~2 mpg hit. Since the rest of his is relatively stock (only mods. cam, CAI and tuner) with the stock exhaust logs, and no MDS, I think, when all things are added up.....cam doesn't produce as much power/torque at lower (1800-2200) RPM, no MDS, stock exhaust logs/exhaust, it would be tough to get that kind of mileage, at least at the altitudes I drive. Also, if he's running ethanol fuel (which I don't), he'll also take a hit on mileage. Speed and tire pressure, will also have an immense impact. How much air does he run in the tires, and at what speed does he drive? He also hasn't said what cam he's had installed, and what the specs. of it are? Inquiring minds want to know.

Replaced map sensor, did not help. I am at 16.3 mpg @ 65mph on cruise control. Sea level and around 50 degrees in the night.
