Correct. If you have QD2 it will give power to all four wheels at a lower gear in transfer case.

I found a transfer case shifting procedure in my Jeep Owners Manual.

Also check out this page for info on the n23 recall plenty other threads but
This is a good read.

There is a great deal of useful information in the Jeep WK Owners Manual. It will explain the basics on how your AWD system works.

You can look up how Quadra Trac II works on You Tube for animated examples.

I believe this forum is for jeep owners of all types, not just those that spend half their time in 4Lo. No need to be condescending when people are looking for advice.

[Edit: I have removed references to your previous posts - no need to live in the past and I can't delete the post altogether]

The check shift procedure message means that the necessary conditions to shift into 4lo have not been met.

You have to have the transmission in neutral and rolling slowly (2-3 mph or something) or stopped. Rolling is preferred as it allows for better gear synchronization, but being stopped should work as well. If, when these procedures have been followed, you get a service 4wd message, you could be affected by the n23 recall problem (or you could actually have a problem).

Let us know how it works, and we may be able to help further.

Ok so if it says check procedure, and I am driving in the winter on 3rd or 4th gear, my 4wd will not work?

I will be on fwd than?

What about if I'm driving on Drive/OD?

I don't get how this sh!t works, pardon my you know what.
