Re: Is the Jetchip a complete waste?

Well it alters the signal going into the PCM. Even 4 wheel parts said JET would work. It's sending the PCM an altered signal and the PCM is not a super computer and doesn't think for itself. So it can not return to stock as it's receiving a signal from the JET.

IF it could, that airram cord that sends a signal to the PCM telling it the engine is running cooler than actual, that would be redundant as well.

So the JET works, but is not as effective as a SCT or Hypertech

what your not considering us that while the pcm is not some "super computer thinking for itself" it looks at its exhaust to determine if its intake calculations are correct... From there adaptives take over and adjust for the wrong information its getting. So it may not be able to decide it wants a number 6 w/ no tomato, large w/ a coke, but it does adjust for wrong information.

Well now, that makes more sense!

Not just saying the PCM resets itself. Thanks for clerifying.

Please post up after some windshield time

I had a rental jeep Liberty while working Summit truck fest in Ohio and drove the jeep stock and tuned over the weekend. The jeep drives completely different even at part throttle.

Hypertech products have a 30 day money back guarantee.

regards,
Jay

Silly question.... Are you from hypertech?

If so, become a vendor! The super chips guys is never around.. And you will have a huge market for the 3.7's

Hey Jay, good to have someone from Hypertech on here.

I received the programmer earlier this week and went to do the install Tuesday night. Unfortunately, when I plugged it into my truck, I noticed it flashed "09-10 Hemi Trucks" on the screen. I tried to get into programming mode anyway, and it then said "not compatible with my vehicle"

I know I have the correct model number 52001. I called Hypertech customer service and spoke to someone who said that because the 3.7L programming is so new, it might not have been loaded in the programmer. He advised to download the included software onto my computer and get the latest updates uploaded into the programmer. I plan to do that this weekend. Not really a big deal, but does this all sound right to you?

I appreciate any info you could offer.
