making my own 5.7 exhaust for cheap..

so i was gonna buy a cat back but then i found this... http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...content=value4

i think its everything i needless the muffler which is great since i want to run something different anyways and then i flange that and weld the other side of the muffler to this pipe and im good to go..... im just thinking it to good to be true...

Re: making my own 5.7 exhaust for cheap..

Factory pipe diameter is 2.75" but not mandrel bent. Sound would be better but no difference in performance.

yeah i would buy a new one... and as for performance i think i would gain a few because even though its slightly smaller its going to be straight threw no restrictions so i might be ok in that aspect

True, getting rid of the suite case underneath helps a lot of restriction. I bought myself a Magnaflow Cat-Back. I got it for a good deal.

If you get this done, definitely post up a video.

yeah the cheapest i can find one is like 300 used... im looking at like 100-200 range so i think im gonna build my own i just hope that pipe is like everything except the flange and then the room for where i would weld in a muffler
