Mice in the engine bay!!

I have mice living somewhere in my engine bay! Anyone know where the best could be or ways to get them out?

Re: Mice in the engine bay!!

I'm curious as to how they got there in the first place. The inhumane thing to do would be to drive around and essentially use the heat to force them out and away from the engine bay. Not really sure of a humane way of getting them out. You could also try laying traps under the vehicle with food and hope they drop down to get it. Sorry that I'm not much help.

Re: Mice in the engine bay!!

My jeep can sit for a few days at a time due to my work schedule, that's how they got in there I'm sure, I did kill one with heat about a month ago, got himself stuck between my CAI and AC line and died due to heat but I have at least one more and would like to find the nest!

I just hope that they don't get into any electrical work and start gnawing at it.

Mice in the engine bay!!

Mouse traps with peanut butter on them. Then get a box of mouse repellant, they come with small scented bags that the mice can't stand. You're going to want to stop them before they set up shop in your blower housing.

Sometimes I wish I had a mouse under my hood, as in sbc. I think a 327 with a th350 would get better mileage and have more power than my 3.7.

When they got in my old impala, I had nesting material coming out through the vents. Mainly hood insulation and carpet pad. I had to take the blower motor out and clean out the housing. It wasn't fun.
