Muffler... No Muffler.... ???

I'm having trouble on deciding whether to go with a Flowmaster 50 series muffler, or just cutting my stock muffler off, and running straight pipes.

Anyone know of any drawbacks to not having a muffler at all?

Does anyone have any sound clips of a WK with performance mufflers, and with just straight pipes? I can only seem to find WJ video clips.

Thanks!

Re: Muffler... No Muffler.... ???

just did the work not to long ago on my hemi, i was going to the manga flow,, i went to auto anything, talked to the guy for a while and decided to go with the 50 , best decision, I also did the diablo tuner and the k&n intake,, the jeep is a beast now. I went a week with the tail pipe also on. I didnt like the way it sounded. I felt it sounded weak. So I had the guys cut it off and run a 3in stright pipe.

Get a Full Cat-Back Magnaflow Exhaust. You'll be happy with it.

i went with a flowmaster 40 and left the resonator on, sounds great...loud when you get on it...silent while you are putting along. Not too much drone
