Re: My 6.4L 392 Hemi Stroker is ALIVE!!

Fluid was burnt and lots of shaving on the magnet in the pan. $495 to pull the tranny and find out what parts need replacing. Def plan to do a shift kit while they in there. Transgo has 2 versions, I don't want one too aggressive, but the less time and smoothness between shifts the less wear on the clutch packs which should help handle the extra power. I told them all the engine mods and they wrote them down. Aamco has 12 month nationwide warranty on their rebuilds, so he told me not to worry if it happens again.

New engine and basically new tranny, how much more until I can reset the odometer to 0?! Lol

I got the thing in March, engine went in July. 4 months in the shop for the engine, I haven't had the thing running long enough to do any normal servicing

Forget that stock junk man....You should contact Jerry or Denny at SharaDon Performance and get one of their Stage 3 transmissions...Tell them I sent you.

Re: My 6.4L 392 Hemi Stroker is ALIVE!!

I was looking at those online, we'll see what the shop quotes. If it's even close to the same price I'd consider it should know more around Monday / Tuesday

Re: My 6.4L 392 Hemi Stroker is ALIVE!!

Wow. I should have just stuck with a fluid change at Aamco! Their prices are insane! I called and spoke to Denny, pretty sure that's the route im going to go, i just may have to wait until February $$$ Thanks for the heads up Escape. I'm thinking about their Stage II transmission with the Stage III valve body.

Re: My 6.4L 392 Hemi Stroker is ALIVE!!

You talked to them about getting a Stage 3 eventually right? I told him you sent me, but i didnt know your real name, but after i described your signature pic he seemed to think he knew who you were. PM me your name, I want to make sure he knows who's referring him

I wonder how hard installing this would be. I mean since you're not really taking it all apart, just removing 1 complete tranny and bolting up a new one. I'm fairly tech savy. I installed a supercharger on my CTS-V several times and installed one on a friends V as well. Replaced axles, installed shifters, nitrous, etc... I just dont know a lot about automatic tranny's. Would be kind of a fun project as long as it's all plug-n-play

Re: My 6.4L 392 Hemi Stroker is ALIVE!!

lol yea my 32" tires are great for that! I just need to get it running long enough to get it tuned. Then i'll have some dyno #'s to brag about (i hope!)

From what i've seen online so far Sharadon is pretty well know on the Dodge forums. I wonder are there any other places offering upgraded 545rfe's? Specifically in Dallas?!
