My hemi tick is gone!!!

Since I got this thing it's been a noisy b!%$#
I've only put in synthetic oil -mobil or castrol- I've used Z-max & Duralube and while they helped it sound smoother, the "tick" was always popping up. It sounded like a bad flat tappet lifter sometimes and a bad rod bearing at others (both of which made me sick)
Well on wed I had enough! my oil only has 1k on it and i had added duralude this time around as well, but the trick (for mine anyways) was............................................... ......

SEA FOAM!!!!

I added it while it was already warm & running. I put in 1/2 a can and before i had the cap on and the can on the shelf, THE TICK WAS GONE!

:w 00t:
Well, you get the idea. I waited to see if it would come back, and it has not. YAY!! It was downright embarassing before, BUT NOT NOW!

Disclaimer: my engine is fairly clean inside. If there is a lot of crap, then it would need to be drained fairly soon.sea foam does not hurt anything if you dont change it right away unless you have a very cruddy engine.

Thought this might help some of you out

Seafoam can be introduced to the engine a variety of ways....including your fuel tank. 1 can will treat a tank. I have used seafoam with great success in the past, I am not one for different additives but Seafoam is the one that I swear by.

X2

I used Seafoam on my 07 Limited Hemi and It made it idle smoother for sure, but didn't make the tick go away. Replacing the EGR Valve will fix it for sure, lol.
