New transmission

My tranny is going. 2nd gear clunks and grinds...

I've trying to find a used replacement from a pick n pull but no luck in my area so far.

I know manufactures use parts on other vehicles. Are there any other dodge/jeep/chryslers that used the same tranny as the 05 grand cherokee Laredo 3.7 4x4???

Appreciate any and all feed back!

Re: New transmission

It would help if you posted which transmission you had...all I know about is the one I have - the 545RFE which comes with most of the Hemi Chrysler vehicles of the WK generation...

Re: New transmission

I think the OP is in luck. According to WKjeeps, the 3.7 uses the W5A580 trannie, which according to wkjeeps is also in the srt.

Isn't this the trannie that's also in most of the Chysler muscle cars? The OP should do more research, but it looks like he'll have a lot of vehicles to choose from.

I didn't know there were multiple transmissions for the 3.7 4x4.

According to John's post above, they don't. Looks like you shouldn't have a problem finding a compatible transmission.
