Newly Purchased 4.7L 2008

Hey everyone, I am brand new here. Just purchased my 2008 4.7L Grand Cherokee. Looking to purchase a superchips tuner. Does anyone have any reviews on it? Does the tuner give you any HP gains? Can anyone recommend a good intake to go along with the superchips tuner? Looking to add some HP to the jeep.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Yes the Superchip tuner is a great addition. I have the same motor as you and I have the 3875 tuner. There are multiple upgrade for that tuner. The 3870,3872 and I forget the latest one. I highly recommend the Trans APP for an extra 40 buck. As far as CAI I have K&N it helps a little with performance but it's the sound that I like about. The mod I recommend next to a tuner is the sprintbooster It helps throttle lag which is terrible on the 08-09 gen 2 4.7's. With the mods I have listed in my sig. I absolutely love this jeep. Good Luck

Do you have the gen II 4.7 that started to appear in the 2008 GC? If so, I did both a superchips tune and cold air intake. I had to do a little customization to get the k&n cai to work on the Gen II. I posted a write up on here previously for it. Not sure there are other cai's that work on the Gen II.

I used K&N 63-1548 on my 09 4.7 no modification needed.

I've always felt that 4.7 headers from a Dakota may fit, if you wanted to look into that and test fit em there is a possibility of more power there
