Re: Official post your mpg's.

After my K&N CAI I took a 150 mile trip to my parents and reset my MPG's and got 25 on my 3.7. I have a 10 mile round trip commute to work and average 18-19 MPG on the tank. I reset at every fill up and if I get on the way it gets into the 22 MPG range for the tank. I'm pretty happy with the fuel economy, but I'm going to get the OME HD and bigger tires so we'll see how that goes.

I LOVE it. Everyone thinks I have a V8. That's how deep it makes it sound. It's kind of annoying on the highway beyond 70 if you're at a constant speed. A lot of cabin drone. BUT that may be due to mine being dumped directly under the rear seats haha.

My friend has a 6.0HD in his Chevy and got the FM 50 series, and now he wishes he had got mine.

Highly recommend it!

PFM. I went pretty easy to see what it was capable of and cruised around 70.

2005, 5.7 Limited

There is a LOT of money wasted on overpriced, so called CAI's. My home made setup puts more and fresher cooler air into the airbox than you can get from under the hood and I picked up maybe a half MPG at 80mph.

Took off entire roof rack a couple weeks ago and was surprised...it was good for another solid half to 1 mpg. Didnt think it would do that much.

Runs just under 18mpg consistently at 80mph and just over 18mpg at 70mph. Country roads at 55-60 it wil do 18.5mpg. Dont do much city driving.

21-23 mpg in city traffic. Average is 21.3mpg

27.6 - 30.15 mpg on the highway. Average is 28.3 mpg

That's why us Aussies love the diesel JGC, along with the torque. Fuel prices vary a fair bit but at the moment, Diesel is currently the equivalent of $5.30 gal and 95RON unleaded petrol is $5.52 gal. E10 (10% ethanol) is a little cheaper than diesel at the moment, but I wouldn't touch that rubbish with a barge pole.

Re: Official post your mpg's.

Highway @ 70-75mph I'm getting 20mpg. And city driving, going easy on the acceleration, I'm getting 15-16mpg.

Yes,yes,offcorse...That guy that shoved 20 mpg with hemi engine did not say what condition has been on the road that day. I presume really heavy wind in the back and driving downhill all the time...
