Just did a 2000 mile road trip, did 19.8 mpg on average, doing 16.8 mpg in the city, but around half is highway. My 2006 WK Laredo 4.7 4WD is basically stock but will be replacing many parts as well as adding new parts. Tires are 3-5/32 thread (Crappy Wranglers) will be replaced by new Michelin LTX A/S2's soon, will be adding cold air intake+airaid throttle spacer soon. Mileage is 195000 km now.
After my K&N CAI I took a 150 mile trip to my parents and reset my MPG's and got 25 on my 3.7. I have a 10 mile round trip commute to work and average 18-19 MPG on the tank. I reset at every fill up and if I get on the way it gets into the 22 MPG range for the tank. I'm pretty happy with the fuel economy, but I'm going to get the OME HD and bigger tires so we'll see how that goes.
27.6 - 30.15 mpg on the highway. Average is 28.3 mpg
That's why us Aussies love the diesel JGC, along with the torque. Fuel prices vary a fair bit but at the moment, Diesel is currently the equivalent of $5.30 gal and 95RON unleaded petrol is $5.52 gal. E10 (10% ethanol) is a little cheaper than diesel at the moment, but I wouldn't touch that rubbish with a barge pole.
Yes,yes,offcorse...That guy that shoved 20 mpg with hemi engine did not say what condition has been on the road that day. I presume really heavy wind in the back and driving downhill all the time...
From Knoxville, TN to Nashville, TN I averaged a little over 22 mpg. Made it to Nashville, drove all over on a weekend vacation and made it almost back to Knoxville on the tank of gas I departed on the trip with.
5.7 with 93 octane. Aftermarket exhaust, drop in K&N and light right foot
2008 3.7L with FRP throttle body and K&N CAI.
City - 16-17mpg
Highway - 21-22mpg
I have slightly oversized tires, 8.5%, 255-70/18 versus 245-65/17, and after correcting for the increase tire diameter I actually noticed a minor increase in mileage.
Best mileage I've ever seen was 24mpg going 55MPH on Route 2 from Toledo to Cleveland.

On highway i see 22-23 mpg but city driving,no matter how i try to be light on gas pedal and driving without hard stops and go i manage mostly 14 mpg,15 as top of the top...
Stop and go will kill any sort of mpg. If you're in traffic try staying in first gear so you're not shifting back and forth. As long as you don't get going very fast.
Highway: 24-27.5 as highest seen (@60 mph in Indianapolis, 800mile roadtrip)
City: 10-16 depending on mood
WOT Highway Run: 6.9 was the worst, almost hit 130 in a 3.7
12 in the city and 15 on a good day for the highway. Funny thing is that when I moved from Michigan to Florida, I lost 2-3 mpg. Now I have the results above. It may be time to sell since I do not need 4x4 in Florida.
