performance mods on hemi

I just got a 2007 grand cherokee with the hemi looking for some suggestions for exhaust, intake and a tuner. Looking to increase the low to mid range power

An intake and catback will actually lose low end and throttle response versus stock, and make a lot of noise. The best bolt on is the Modern Muscle CNC ported 85 mm TB (the 87 mm requires a custom tune for WOT A/F). Easy to install, then just reset the ECU. You will feel the difference and it will also be quiet. If you don't have one yet, put on on a BIllet tech catch can at the same time to keep the TB clean. Adding the Apexi super voltage stabilizer added power across the RPM range to mine as well, also easy to install.

A tuner might help also... stay away from air intake unless your a WOT kind of driver

Thinkiing I might just do a KnN filter in factory airboxon my 5.7 '07 WK- I have two filters from previous Jeeps- will see if they will fit the new airbox.

I am satisfied with the Air Aid dry filter Jr kit that keeps the stock filter housing and changes the intake tube for a smoother flowing unit. I also did the TB ground mod, cleaned and hand ported the TB with good noticeable results on low and mid range.

As for a tuner, go with Diablosport, that's the best option, the InTune works great.

The cat back has divided opinions about it`s possible performance improvements since the stock cat back diameter is 3 inches, many recommend just swapping the main muffler for the largest Magnaflow you can fit and use the stock piping and resonator. That gives it a louder but drone less tone.
