Re: port cleaned 3.7 intaked manifold

so far it seems the power comes on a little smoother down low and seems to pull harder towards the top, but I will be doing more testing to find out how it dose at highway speeds and passing

Re: port cleaned 3.7 intaked manifold

after a week of testing and various WOT runs, I can honestly say there is a very noticeable difference. second gears pulls the hardest I have ever felt this thing pull. first is stronger too, but the difference is not as much as second, 3rd pulls harder too, but you can definitely tell that the gearing is too long. (3.08 Rearend) when in manual mode, it holds rpms longer, don't know if that's a good thing or not, but it coasts longer when downshifting and letting it coast, possibly good for take of power in lower gears. planning a hi-way cruise to see the effect on fuel mileage, I wanna say its gonna be better but we will see....

of all my mods, this made the most difference in drivability and how hard it pulls. problem is, I don't know if its an effect of all the mods combined, so I cant tell you what difference it made on a STOCK 3.7.

Re: port cleaned 3.7 intaked manifold

Well I almost forgot this thread, but here is my fuel mileage numbers. keep in mind I have a bad o2 on the right side.

25-28avg mpg highway, did 200 mile round trip from fort Campbell to christiana Tennessee and back.

11-14mpg city depending on traffic and mood I am in....

last trip to Michigan, 800miles netted an avg of 24.7 in the southern states, this dropped to around 19-21 in sub zero (got down to -19 when I got with in 150 miles of my destination)

Those highway numbers are extremely respectable for our WKs. May have a weekend project coming soon.

Re: port cleaned 3.7 intaked manifold

You have a build thread or anything? I'd love to get my highway miles to something in the low 20's!

Just wondering what mods you've done, ones that you thought where worth it, and ones that weren't really worth it. I'm thinking first, the hypertech, then probably a throttle body and intake. Then move to the exhaust.
