Removing Resonator Box

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone would be able to help me out (again).

Up this weekend is cleaning the throttle body, and I had a quick look at both this forum and the service manual, and have the simplest question remaining:

How do you remove the intake resonator box to get at the throttle body on the 5.7L? I removed the engine cover, and saw what looked like attachment bolts for it...but thought I would check with the experts before unbolting things.

Have close to 150,000 miles on it, and it has never been cleaned as I thought it was non-serviceable.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Removing Resonator Box

there is a 10mm bolt to the left (your left looking into the engine bay) of the throttle body... remove this, loosen the hose clamp on the throttle body, slip your pcv hose off the oil filltube (its generally ziptied to the resonator, at 150k it may have been cut LONG ago). Pop the clamps on the top of the air box and release the top from the bottom. From there just pull it forward (towards the front of the car to remove it. You will see there is a post that is long that you must work back into its home when going back together.
