I assume there is always the option to return to the stock tune once any SCT tune has been installed?

I have personally heard of nothing but bad from using a choke master muffler/exhaust. I have seen numerous dynos on other forums which show a decrease in performance on the powerband.

Anyone on here have a dyno that shows gains?

choke master, im assuming thats a pun intended towards flowmaster? Wouldn't that be the opposite though?? haha, anyway. . .

You're right about the torque curve, they flow so much greater than most cars need. They are ideally designed for the big hp cars like 500hp+ all the way up to 1000hp because the flow rate is so great.

Most cars make so little power though that the bigger exhaust size ultimately decreases exhaust velocity (i.e. - a big garden hose and water pressure) and reduces the scavenging effect which ultimately reduces torque throughout the lower rpm band.

It will help a little with horsepower at higher rpms though because thats when the exhaust wave is at its greatest so thats where the flowmasters and magnaflows etc are all effective. For daily driving, smaller more restrictive exhaust systems would be better for most people as torque would be greater at lower revs

People tend to generalize about "backpressure" and thats its bad or good or thats what makes torque but thats a loose term and doesnt really say too much. A smaller exhaust will equate to more backpressure but that also can mean that the engine will have a more effective cylinder fill when the valves overlap because less air will escape into the exhaust as it comes into the intake but. This same thing can also hurt power pending on the actual flow #s! Thats why it gets very complex and confusing, something that seems good can be bad if your calculations are done properly. This is just a rough idea of the scavenging effect but basically the more air and the faster you can get it into the cylinder the more torque you will make. But like I said if you go to big it can slow velocity and limit the flow losing power. Too small and you can have too much restriction and the same thing happens. Thats why there is a perfect size and shape for each motor design to allow perfect flow at all engine speeds to torque/hp are at their peak

Yes, it actually stores the stock setup and gives you the option later on to revert to stock

And almost everyone I know swears by FLOW Master.

I just got off the with JBA's and he said that the headers he have will only fit the 2005 3.7 WK. Hell yeah.

He also said I can add another inch to the rear of my WK bringing the total lift to 3.5" all the way around.
