Re: SCT Tuner for the 3.7L!!! ohhh yeah!!

LOL JBA (headers) isn't JeepinbyAl for the record and Im pretty sure Al doesnt make headers . . .

As far as fitment, to my knowledge to this day, I believe they dont fit like I said awhile back. These were designed around the 3.7 LIBERTY. So the Motor is the same, but most everything is different

I was optimistic in hoping someone could try it out and see what needs to be done but who knows. Maybe when I have some$ to blow Ill try it at $450 from summit. Unless anyone want to go halves for test fitments sake Only issues I can see are chassis clearances really. If thats the case then it would take some nice custom fab to work around it but im sure it could be done like anything, just throw $ at it haha

Re: SCT Tuner for the 3.7L!!! ohhh yeah!!

Guys, the JBA headers fit. A guy on JF just installed JBA's '05 Liberty headers on his '06 XK. Took 5 hours for a tech to install, had to use some different bolts, but they mounted right up.

Re: SCT Tuner for the 3.7L!!! ohhh yeah!!

He just had them installed yesterday so no word as of yet. The other mods he has are a CAI and ported TB. He's debating whether or not to get a high flow muffler now.

An XK? Thats a Commander correct? So still, haven't seen/heard of anyone putting them on a 3.7 WK GC. So far, Liberty/Commanders a go pending some proof of the later.

Do they use the same chassis though?? I bet they do so maybe if we can see some pics or a thread of a 3.7 Commander with them Ill buy it. Until then, Im still sticking with the skeptical pov

WK and XK have the same exact engine build.

Re: SCT Tuner for the 3.7L!!! ohhh yeah!!

My concern isn't the engine, I know they all use the 3.7 and the headers will bolt up and flow well.

BUT the key thing Im looking at with all these is the alignment/clearances. If the frame and component layout aren't identical between platforms (which they arent) we could have clearance/alignment issues making custom fab necessary ($$$) to get them to work.

Im sure theyll functionally work, Im just looking out for everyone so no one thinks they're just going to bolt right up to stock cats, may not be that easy so lets find out

Re: SCT Tuner for the 3.7L!!! ohhh yeah!!

Call back JeepinByAl's and ask if they have actually, literally test fitted them on a '05 JGC.

JBA said its possible that someone, a random shop like Al's, may have already test fitted them on aJGC and they just havent told JBA. If they have they need to tell JBA so they can update their database.

ANd post up that guys build thread if you can find it!!

^ THIS! Showmethemoney!
Beyond some hp, I imagine these headers will make this sub-par sounding 3.7 sound pretty decent

x2^^^

I also assume they will allow for better air flow(considering the stock manifold are all connected in a straight line).
