Sensor Hunting/Replacing/Diagnosing HELP? (4.7L)

I had a few posts on my '06 4.7L but I'm nearing a solution (I hope).

My Jeep feels like there is zero power at WOT going into 3rd gear. This happens when trying to pass on the highway and merging into the highway. My old Tahoe had a bad mass airflow sensor that had the same symptoms as me, but at different speeds. This leads me to believe, since WK's don't have mass airflow sensors, that possibly my MAP sensor is bad. But I honestly am not sure. I'd rather not have my mechanic just throw some parts at it. He's a legit guy, but with no codes thrown it's hard to diagnose. I don't want to just replace fluids, plugs, etc. to no avail. I JUST had my PCV replaced which seemed to stabilize idle a bit, so that's one suspect off the SH*T list. I also have a new EGR in box around here somewhere that I'm ready to try if need be but I'm not sure it's that.

My next step is to take off my powerwire I put on years ago...

Hopefully someone else can chime in to help out. Thanks!

If you have a scanner with live data (or android phone with Torque and bluetooth dongle), you could check the value of the MAP with engine off. It should show barometric pressure (which you can find for your area using google).
Then when you start the engine the MAP should go down, as vacuum is created by the inlet.

I have a superchips flashpaq. Not sure if it does data logging.
