walker exhaust sound clip

Thought I'd post these clips. I am probably the only one ever to do a walker 3'' catback. I have srt8 manifolds. Also have 2.5'' custom mid pipes going into stock cats with magnaflow y pipe. This exhaust will only be on for another six months or so. I have a full srt8 mids and exhaust which needs to be chopped up and made to fit, but ultimately will go on. Also have a clip of the infamous sowing machine engine sound... which is 10 times more pronounced with upgraded heads and SRT8 pushrods. The exhaust doesn't sound too great, but when I had a magnaflow 24'' on last summer it was way too loud.

Had to laugh when your exhaust blew the camera over.

Sounds like, with the cam, you have a little more valve noise than I do.

Re: Sound clip from my custom walker quiet flow ss

Did you change the heads also jeepcogman? Maybe its the "proprietary" valve job from inertia. Could it be the port job letting more noise out? I have checked my rocker arms multiple times and they are tight and fine. It definitely is a very unique souding hemi, I have gotten comments from people wondering why my engine is so loud.

Re: Sound clip from my custom walker quiet flow ss

Also I googled my results from my emissions test... My co2 numbers were 15.1 at idle and 15.5 at 2500 rpm. What I read was 15.5 is the best value an engine can receive and signifies a very good engine. Also, I had no oxygen in my exhaust so it's not lean. There seems to be nothing wrong with the engine mechanically, and the stock tune seems to be fine.
