Man what a difference this has made to my WK 5.7L
. I initially was going to do the work myself on the headers but some stuff came up and I didn't have the time I thought I would have. There is a real good exhaust shop right down the road that has done great work for my friends so I gave them a call. Well brought it in 2 days later its done. It sounds sick, butt dyno feels like it made improvements and now this sets me up for future engine mods. Best thing too is that there is no CEL =]
The main things needed to do this to your 5.7L is:
-5.7L Gaskets(if you plan to keep the egr)/6.1L gasket (if you want to block it off) *I suggest using mopar gaskets as they are some of the best exhaust manifold gaskets out there*
-SRT8 Header bolts
-Cat-Back of your choosing
*If you plan on keeping the egr you will need to make an egr notch in the passenger side header.
Be warned there is virtually 0 room to work with. The shop even said they probably will never do this again
or charge double what they charged me. They also had to weld a few brackets and such but nothing major. They said the biggest pain was getting the log style headers off. The tow hitch came off to make room for the dual 5" tips.
Thanks to 555ctsv for the advice you helped a lot.
