Srt intake tube

Can the srt intake tube replace the resonator box on my 5.7? So will the tube just fit directly on to the air box and tb?

Thanks

+1, best value CAI on the market for the 5.7. I got mine on the red forum for around $20 shipped if I remember correctly.

You'll love it. Perfect amount of that typical CAI "noise" and increased performance...now if only the Challenger IAT sensor would fit the 05WK...

Re: Srt intake tube

The only other thing you should do is add a second air inlet to the airbox. Remove the drain cup at the bottom of the box and run a 3 in. aluminum tube (Home Depot) from it to somewhere (as high as possible) behind the radiator. This will maximize the air coming into the box, and insure it is as cool as possible. Also, punch a small hole at the low point of the new tube so you'll still have the drain capability. Oh, and make sure you have a good, low restriction filter element.

The Challenger IAT Sensor will not work on the 05's though.....only the 06's>.

Ummmm dude it does. I have one in my SRT Intake tube in my 05 WK Hemi lol If I'm not mistaken it's the longer one right? I'll try to get a pic later tonight. Also since the SRT Intake tube is from an '06-'10 then the Challenger IAT Sensor should fit

It has a longer sensor stem to reach the middle part of the tube where the cooler air is and away from the sidewalls where the hotter air is from the engine. I guess to increase performance a little bit, Theoretically at least.

It's not the fitment in the tube that's a problem. According to everything I've read, it's the connector that was changed. The 05WK doesn't have the correct connector to match with the Challenger's IAT...
