Anyone know how much time / labor a water pump change should run about?

I was quoted 275$...or 150$ if I bring the part.

I could get a cardone or gates water pump for $60 shipped...

Anyone know which brand comes with a metal impeller? And would you change the thermostat at the same time?

I know with the HEMI, the MOPAR part seems to be the best quality part. As for replacing the thermostat at the same time, you may as well as the system will need to be drained for the water pump service anyway. It's a cheap part and good preventative maintenance.

Hi thanks for the info, do you think the labor will cost more to change the thermostat as well and do I need to buy a thermostat housing too?

Just buy a federated auto wpump. Its like 50$ and comes with 12/12 warranty. I matched them up on the bench and they are exactly the same. If you have mechanical knowledge and the tools they are extremely easy to do. Chances are the gasket is leaking and the waterpump is fine. I couldn't find just a gasket though.

I just did one on my old 3.7L. Took me 15mins. Save yourself some cash, I can walk you through it if you want.

If the T-STAT is located in the same spot as the 4.7L (pretty sure it is). Then additional labor would apply.
