Unless I'm wrong the laredos never came with a hemi. If you still wanna check the easiest way is to look on the back of the jeep. Do you see a 5.7l badge? If so its a hemi. If not its likely a 4.7l, which is not a hemi. It is also possible, however unlikely, the last owner took the badge off so look under the hood it will say what it is right on the engine cover. Also if the tb is up front its a 5.7l hemi, if its in the back its a 4.7l. Hope this helps.

Well they only make an engine cover for the hemi. The 4.7 says it on the airbox

It's almost definitely a 4.7, if you know it's a v8. If you pop the hood snap a pic of the airbox and put it up here I can tell you for sure. Laredos for that year never came with a hemi.

Yup, you have the biggest non hemi v8 Chrysler made from 03-10 (the 360 magnum was offered in the ram until 03 as a limited edition) The hemi was not offered in a Laredo until 2011-12. Eighter way tho, the 4.7 is a very solid motor, the only real weak point internally are the pistons

Re: What do I have?

The OP should be able to go to Jeep SUVs & Crossovers | Official Jeep Site | Jeep ForOwners and put in their VIN and request a complete build sheet...

Not overly detailed, but a good summary of what came from the factory.
