What should i do?

I'm looking to give my 3.7 L v6 a little big of a roar. Nothing too load. So a muffler might be out of the equation. Would a K&N cold air intake be the best way to go? I don't have a huge budget either. Any suggestions. Also is the typhoon series any good on Jeeps?

Re: What should i do?

you are going to have to do more than just a intake to get louder. Are you just wanting to hear the "roar" in the cab or outside as well? If you are wanting to hear it outside as well you might look to see if you can remove resonators.

Yea, but my friend has a ford fusion; and all he had to do was get a cold air intake and its loud when he accelerates. Thats what i want.

if that is the case, you may just be hearing the engine breathing better. that is different engines, different sounds.

Re: What should i do?

the intake isn't gonna be that much loudder on the 3.7, but you will get a better intake note from it. i ran a plastic spetre kit before i got my injin powerflow intake. the plastic intake gave it a deep throaty intake soundtrack. the metal injin gives it more of a roar
