Why has my engine coolant vanished?

A few months ago I did an engine coolant flush at a local Garage franchise and instead of adding me the red-pink engine coolant they put me that universal piss green yellow colored engine coolant. Could that be a reason why this morning the engine coolant is gone? Or another reason? Thanks.

I would hope that the wrong coolant type wouldn't cause enough corrosion in only a few months that you now have a colander instead of a cooling system.

Your engine needs the HOAT coolant as you now appear to be aware.

Have you had any chats with that braindead garage about this?

Any leaks?
Did they pressure test the system to make sure you wouldn't lose coolant?
Or are they a tad lacking in attention to detail in that area as well.

Have you drained all of that coolant out, flushed the system, and filled it with the correct coolant?

If so, does it have any obvious leaks if left standing still?

Unfortunately hot engines tend to dry up all the typical footprints of small leaks unless you are lucky and see it standing still?

I Second this, also id have it completely flushed and refilled with the HOAT. you can do it yourself by getting the "zerex" brand coolant from your local parts store. it meets Chryslers requirement and is safe for our cooling system

Hi guys, so I found out it's not an engine coolant leak but an oil leak coming from the timing chain cover. I also filled up the engine coolant reservoir last night, and looked this morning before and after driving to work and the level was the same. Except a few mm higher after driving to work. If you know anything that can help out or care to read my issue here is the new thread:

WOW! never heard of the front main seal going on these things. typically when a crank seal goes its the rear main seal. water pump shouldnt even have oil in it lol
