Wk 3.7 intake mod?

Hey guys, i read about upgrading the stock air baffle that connects to the tb on my 3.7 wk. i bought the liberty tube that connects the airbox to the tb and noticed that it was a smaller diameter than what is on my wk (both the plastic tube and the accordian part). Also, there wasnt a way to just bolt it up being the size of the rubber connection is the same as my tb.

Has anyone used the liberty piece on their wk? If so, what did you do for a secure connect? Also, does the smaller diameter of the liberty tube out weigh the larger wk air baffle/resonator?

well the smaller diameter of the liberty is due to it being for the newer 3.7 which uses a electronic throttle body. the overall diameter is smaller but it shouldn't hurt airflow any.

now to connect it, here is what I would do. I would measure your tb and the new liberty tube and find a coupler that fits it at both parts. same thing at the accordion side of it as well, but this one will be trickier

mmmm as I mentioned in my postings I also considered using the Liberty pipe onto the TB. Have not done any real investigation, since it seems a good idea to maybe just keep the WK resonator box. I might just investigate more.
My WK has the DBW electronic TB, so again Strongjeff provided important info on this matter, thanks.
