I know of other 09 members waiting on it too. I believee its in the works for 09's

Just FYI........they will probably never make a compatible flashpaq for -09 4.7's

Still no 2009 4.7L WK
We have not seen any in here for testing.

In January he told me they would have it out by spring. So let's face it. They couldn't be bothered.....

Ok, heard anything about the Hypertech product line?

Scott sorry to question your posting abilities but your response just does not compute.

1) you have not heard anything about HyperTech
2) you comment they are "crap"
3) you have no idea about this product

So how can you comment this product is "crap" if you have no idea on this product or previous experience using this product.

At this point I am looking to hear responses from fellow WK/WH 4.7 owners and their experience good and bad.

I do appreciate your assistance in many threads on this forum, but would like to have more justification to your comments.

the hypertech CHIPS are crap becasue the PCM eventually returns to stock config......making the chip worthless. The Chips are add ons to the pcm.... The ChryCo pcms are pretty tough to crack and the hypertech chips are a total waste of money. I havent heard of anyone with the hypertech max energy programmer.....and Im on just about every Grand Cherokee forum there is. maybe you could email hypertech and get some feedback from some of their customers.

Thanks Scott for your POV,

I have sent queries to HyperTech and so far their response time to queries have been within 24 hrs.

I will also wait to hear responses from JGCL 4.7 WK/WH owners that have personally used the product to hear their first hand experiences Good and Bad.

What year and model of HyperTech product was used during your experience with the Camaro? Seems you had a response from Customer Support that was not positive, why was this not settled to satisfaction? How could they claim no liability for the damage ??

Don't remember the model but i still have the huge black block "programmer" somewhere in here. They felt it was not there fault even tho there programmers said the tuner had a corrupt file, i faxed over my dealers invoice and weeks went by with no calls even after numerous calls and messages from me.

Too bad SuperChips doesnt recognize the potential market from late model 4.7 owners...

Got this chart from HyperTech regarding the performance gains with the Max Energy - 52001

Shows a 47 HP gain on 2009 JGC 4.7.... thats a huge variance from looking at the other Jeeps on the chart showing only 11 - 16 HP gains !

Already sent an email to their support to confirm,,, will let you know the response...

Seems quite a high HP gain to be achieved from a hand held tuner.... will advise the response from HyperTech Support.

They usually answer within 24hrs but it is Sunday...

Fast HyperTech Support response....

They actually state this gain is possible on all the Chryler/Dodge/Jeep 4.7 engines.

~

... the gain in HP depends on how the manufacturer did tuning the vehicle from the factory. The better they did, the less gains that are possible. The engine tune increase for the 4.7L Dodge/Jeep because there is so much performance increase to be had....

So I guess it is not a typo....

It would be awesome to have such a HP gain,,, still trying to find someone that may have used this tuner before I go ahead and purchase... seems too good to be true....

I have heard of members using the add on chip...but not this yet. Maybe its pretty new? You may have to be the guinea pig? LOL

#25 ·
Damn,,, I am down to a Lab Rat status... surprised no one has used this product yet... ok will wait till the weekend before ordering... how would I be able to confirm HP gain if I do not have access to a Dyno...?

#27 ·
...hmmm guess I would know after purchase and tuning complete to notice any gain,,,

.... hey i notice you are from Transylvania,,, do they sleep there... lol
