Wow what a difference!

While I was home on R&R I installed a Gibson catback, AFe coldair intake, Predator, and some 245/70 17 BFG Rugged Terrain T/A on my wife's 05 WK 5.7. Wow is all I have to say. This thing definitely has more power and it shifts better to. My wife really doesn't care much about performance but she said the Jeep runs a lot better now. She even likes the exhaust. I'm running the 91 tune with 89 gas. It seems to run well with this combo. Next are some Bilstein's.

I've got the same combo and am very happy with it. Next get a custom tune. It makes an even bigger difference.

Re: Wow what a difference!

I guess the predator really helps because I have pretty much the same mods and didn't notice anything except more noise.

Re: Wow what a difference!

The Predator really helps a lot. The intake and exhaust only made noise like you said. My wife and I felt a difference when I installed the tune.

Re: Wow what a difference!

You shouldn't be running 91 Canned tune with 89 Octane. I suggest you change it.

Agreed! Your computer is going to start retarding timing on you to help eliminate knock. A lot of LX guys and myself run the 91 tune with 93 octane fuel due to the fact that you wont have any LT Knock. Data log to see how the canned tune plus your choice in octane is working for you. Also MDS kicking on and off will give some false positives for ST and LT knock so turn it off when you log.
