Same ride as stock but not as soft. I went from 245 to 265 tires, You feel more bumps because you are stiffer in the ride, cracks did not change.

The cornering is way better with less body roll side to side, When you accelerate, the front end doesn not come up like the stock suspension.

Do you carry a lot of gear? Sorry for 20 questions. It's rare to talk to another diesel owner. I'm already running 265/70 17s... So I'm wondering if this will feel any worse than what I have. I love it now. Other than the body roll, look, etc...

Re: OME Heavy or OME Medium lift?? -07 WK Diesel

Well I will be travelling alot this summer so my truck will be loaded, the more gear the softer the ride as the HD OME shocks/struts will be a little compressed. I will be trailering also but my rear end will not be sagging like most stock WKS which have the soft stock suspension. If your not trailering go for the medium duty?

compared to my old xj cherokee, putting this OME lift kit on did not make this wk jeep a more truck ride.

I went the other direction..... SRT reps and stocke SRT tire sizes... I tow a motorcycle trailer and with the bikes, it adds another 3000 lbs. I swapped out the suspension for WK Bilsteins and stock SRT8 springs. I like the ride much better than the stock set up, if that helps at all.....

With the HD springs it gives you more lift then the md.

I just went OME HD with my CRD and I like it...granted I do not DD my CRD...it is more of a weekend warrior. My wife noticed that it "bounces" more and she made the comment that it "rides like a truck". Which is fine with me. Driveway pic...will be taking it off road later this month...

Looks good!

I see you have the front bar on which adds weight, I've just ordered a MD OME kit as I've no armour & won't tow much. I understand the kit is stiffer than standard anyway.
Before (245/65/17):

OME MD = 3 inches higher.

Car parked in drive/carport but is on slight upslope & Left rear wheel is higher, making Right wheel arch (shown) look bigger than if stood flat / level.
Before - Notice "high tech" Black tape on posts marking wheel arch height & strategic pots & bin to identify key point heights :

Jeep drives far smoother & is rock steady braking & cornering, no more getting "jumpy" over bumps in the road. Highly recommend, is now a different car.

Now onto getting bigger tyres, 245/75 or 255/70 methinks, as don't want to hit MPG or them to rub on suspension parts / bodywork etc.

P.S. Yes it is a tight squeeze into that car port! hence (for the keen eyed) the White paint marks on the front bumper :-( Am moving them out soon...
