05' WK with Wrangler wheels/tires

I was pumped to pick up a set of 2012 Wrangler 18's with 255/70/R18 Bridgestone Dueler AT. They came off the brand new jeep in less than a week!

When I finally got around to putting them on I started with the drivers side front. I read multiple thread stating that they'd fit without spacers or a lift....didn't fit. I put the wheel on and when I started lowering the wk the tire was touching the plastic bulge with a pinch weld behind it. The passenger side front seems like it has a good bit more room between the pinch weld and the tire. So bummed! Any suggestions???

The first two pics are of the drivers front with stock wheels/tires, last is the passenger side.

you gotta hammer that weld down and heat mold the fender liner.

I had to do mine as soon as i put 265's on my rig. Now i have zero rubbing and roughly 1/2" clearance at full lock in either direction

Thanks for the advice! Do you happen to have any pics or tips on how to do that?

Re: 05' WK with Wrangler wheels/tires

PM sent.

I followed that "how to" except for the part that says to cut the fender liner.

I used a heat gun and re-molded the plastic wheel well liners back enough to sit flush with the body. Looks factory and i didnt have to chop and re-patch the liners.

Good Luck!
