15" rims on a WK

I'm looking at a WK with 18" rims on it. I want to making it more off-road worthy. I would 15" rims make it any better for off-roading? Would there be any disadvantages with either size? I want to know if I buy it will there be any problems (off-road and on-road) if I changed the rims to a smaller dimension.

Re: 15" rims on a WK

the calipers are the sticking point with adding smaller wheels. The smallest i have heard was 16"

Re: 15" rims on a WK

Yea, Scott is right. 15" will NOT fit any model WK. 16" will fit 2005, and early 2006 ONLY. Everything else has to be 17" or larger.

Re: 15" rims on a WK

I see, thanks for the replies. Are 18" rims going to decrease off-road capabilities by much?

Re: 15" rims on a WK

No the worst that will happen is you might damage the wheels sooner then an small wheel. If you look deep in to off roading and many competition vehicles 17" is the ideal size.
