18 and 17 " tires together

I have 18" tires on my car. Spare is an 18"

If I run a set of 17" for the winter. Can I use an 18" spare with the 17" if I need to?

Assuming you have 4WD, you can only run the different size wheels if the overall tire diameters are the same for the 17 and 18" tires.

Thanks CK

Second question:

How much pressure should you have in your back tires if you have 1500 lbs in the back of a 2005 GC Overland?

I don't let my mother in law ride in my GC, but you can run up to the max pressure; look on the tire sidewall for the max pressure rating.

Make sure your 17's have enough clearance for your brakes. Just because one model may have 17's, doesn't mean yours can because the possibility of heavy duty brakes. Sometimes they will use the same pads, but have larger calipers.
