20's vs 22's

So I happen to come across this site solely based on a google search regarding wheels and tires. Quite honestly, I'm very impressed. My question to you is, should I go with the SRT reps in 20 or 22". I'm seeing all kinds of black on black Cherokees. I have an 08 Laredo. Whats your opinions on issues like ride quality, rubbing, etc. Every bit of info is appreciated. Thanks to all, and keep up the good work. Now i just need to upgrade my membership. Cheers!!

Re: 20's vs 22's

What's the ultimate goal on the cherokee? 22's are IMO a bit over the top on any SUV. Just my opinion though. Are you going to be lowering it any ? Will you be raising it any, Those play a pretty big role in what would be best for you too.

Not going to raise it. What I don't want is a big gap fromt he tire to the wheel well. I really want to try and make it look the best without raising or lowering the suspension

Re: 20's vs 22's

Im with jtr, have you seen any pics with the 22 inchers ? they look almost gawdy. but.. to each his own.

to answer your question.. IMO id go with 20's if you must go big. The 22's are heavy, bulky, and down right huge on these small suv's. Id encourage you to look at tons and tons of pics ( and in person if you can ) with GC on 22's. but if you still like them, keep in mind the risks of having such a big wheel, such as cost, ( not just on the tires ) .

good luck finding what you want!

Re: 20's vs 22's

decided on 20s. thanks for all your input. they will be staggered on toyo proxes ST II. what do you think about the sizes 275/40/20 front and 315/35/20 rear?
