265/60/18 for 2008 Overland... Tough fit
So I did a bunch of reading... found the largest tires to fit without rubbing and I found the same answers over and over again for the 17" and 18" wheels. So naturally, since I have 18" wheels on my Overland, I heeded the advice of 265/65R18 but went down a notch and got the 265/60R18 just to be safe.
Well long story short, even those were too big, at least on the front. The inner sidewall was just toughing the arm, and the inner part of the tread had the upper balljoint part resting on it... so while driving it would sound like a card in the spokes of a bike wheel.
Needless to say, I had to take a cutoff wheel and take off part of the end so it left roughly a 1/2" gap above the tread. For the sidewall, Im not TOO concerned at the moment but I have ordered a set of 4 1/4" spacers.
But all in all it's worth it! lol. Gives the WK a much better stance and look from all angles.
