275/40 F 315/35 R tire setup

Anyone running the 275/40 315/35 setup on SRT8 wheels on stock WK suspension? I am thinking of running this next spring, but am curious how the thinner than stock sidewall of these tires will look while not being lowered. Pics are appreciated!

It looks wierd on the stock suspension. You should get srt springs to go with them

Yea it seems like thats the way to go. I love the stance your truck has now with the SRT springs on that 275/315 setup.

The other option I was considering is a 265/45 F 295/40 R. It will give a slightly taller sidewall to fill in some of that gap. I can get Toyo Proxes STII in this size.

Re: 275/40 F 315/35 R tire setup

I'd like to join you in this discussion if you don't mind.

What tires do you guys think look the best on the SRT8 wheels if you're running the SRT8 suspension but no body trimmings?

I was set on 275/315 Nitto Invos but now that I see them on the poster's Jeep here it's not enough tire for my taste (or my driving...LOL). My other Jeep has 37s so I don't watch for holes much.

Thanks for asking this...I've been pondering it myself.

Re: 275/40 F 315/35 R tire setup

I would imagine it would look funny without lowering. I had the SRT springs installed and switched to the 275/ 315 setup (Toyos) at the same time. Wheel well gaps stayed about the same as my previous setup but the whole Jeep is sitting lower to the ground.

I'll try and get some pics shortly.

If you are looking for more sidewall on staggered SRT8 wheels, you could go stock size 255/45 285/40 or for a litte more 265/45 295/40. The 275/315 setup has the thinnest sidewall of all the setups.

Great pic, thanks for posting. In this pic are you running SRT8 springs and SRT8 bilsteins?

I'm still debating running these tires, came across this guy's post. This WK is on stock SRT8 suspension with Nitto Invos 275/315. Look at how much taller they look than the Toyos:

Sorry if we aren't supposed to link to other forums. Live and learn...here goes nothing! LOL
