98 Grand Cherokee ABS light

ABS data scan tells me it's circuitry (possible electronic control unit or possibly booster pump). Can find no information on line about cost to replace. One on line post probable cost over $1,000 if it's ECU and or several hundred if it's pump. The vehicle (98 Grand Cherokee Ltd) is only valued at $2500.00. It' a great vehicle clean throughout with 110,000 miles. Makes no sense to spend that much. Would appreciate any suggestions what I might do.

Scan definitely indicates ecu or booster?
Reason I ask is that on the ZJ, there is a connector to the right front passenger side wheel that may get the contacts pretty corroded.

Pulling it apart and carefully cleaning the contacts has gotten rid of ABS lights on the ZJ.
