ABS/ESP/BAS lights keep coming on

For a few weeks now, these lights have been randomly coming on while driving on my '08 GC 2WD. I've also noticed a pulsating "roughness" in the brake pedal randomly which comes and goes. When the "roughness" occurs, it causes the ABS/ESP/BAS lights to come on. After turning the vehicle off, then restarting it again, the lights reset and turn off until the "roughness" is experienced again. I've checked the brakes and all looks fine. Plenty of meat on the pads. Rotors look okay, just normal signs of wear since last brake job a little over a year ago. I've researched the lights and all I come up with are different sensors going out. Brake fluid is clean...no leaks anywhere...still at max level.

What could it be? The last few times I've tried to take it to have the codes checked when the lights come on, the minute I pull up to have them checked, the lights turn off. I've made one attempt to have the codes pulled when the lights went off, but the techs couldn't find anything. I don't do any off-roading, nor have I been hard on the brakes. Just trying to avoid replacing different sensors or parts until I have a somewhat definitive answer. Can't afford to continue throwing money out on solutions that aren't working.

Please help.

Thanks for the reply. I've taken it to Auto Zone twice. The first time the light had went off. They checked and no codes were present. The second one I went to I specifically asked if they could checked for codes on the braking system because my lights had come on. The worker said they couldn't and recommended I go to a brake shop.

I am having my tires services right now, and lucky for me there's a brake shop across the way. I am going to take it there. Fingers crossed it is just a sensor. I'm assuming they're not that hard to repair on your own and can be bought at any parts store.
