Any Advice for UCAs?

I've got a UCA that looks like it could use some replacing. It's leaking some fluid...

I remember seeing some nice aftermarket ones on the site before but didn't turn anything up in a quick search. Anyone know of a good set to look into? Links are always nice

Re: Any Advice for UCAs?

I'm running the JBA control arms and love em. You can also just replace the ball joint in the stock arm and save $350.

You put the JBA's UCA's on, did they push the middle arm closer to the tires?

Re: Any Advice for UCAs?

Your UCA is leaking?? Interesting, maybe WD-40? You should not have a leak unless you are talking about the ball joint with grease coming out?

I'm not sure. It was like 3 in the morning and dark on that side of the Jeep but there was some funky smellin brown fluid coming from the ball joint. I still don't know many technical terms for parts - sorry

I figure if it broke once it'll break again down the road and I'd love to have the best I can get to replace the stock part if I've already gotta mess with it. Slowly learning that I should just do it right the first time.

Re: Any Advice for UCAs?

The best UCA in my opinion is the HM engineering UCA. Those suckers are bullet proof but expensive! With the SL, you won't have as many problems with the ball joint like you would with the RK. I would save the money and just replace both upper ball joints with a MOOG ball joint with zerk fitting so you can keep them lubed. Those should last you a long time.
