OP asked for input. Apparently, there are several acceptable replacements. It's nice to have the choice. Recall that exact OEM front pads are about $160.

OEM original front brake pads (not MOPAR "Value Line") are certainly a decent choice as mine have >120,000 miles, work well, and still have plenty of meat left. The rear brake pads are the Raybestos, have ~60,000 miles on them and cost <30% of MOPAR OEM.

As I said, lots of choices........

Re: Best brake Pads for my Wk??

I got wagner tq's as well paired with r1 slotted rotors. great bite and fade resistance. and the low dust produced is good too if you have aftermarket wheels.

the wagners do squeal when cold because they are ceramic but after a few stops on them they quiet down considerably. I do track my wk on occasion and this brake combo has held up well

Generally yes. A softer pad wont squeal as much when cold but will wear faster

Re: Best brake Pads for my Wk??

15,000+ Miles on the Stillen Cross drilled rotors and Stillen pads, perfect performance both cold and hot, not a single mouse squeel out of these and minimal brake dust. very good replacement IMO.

They are Metal Matrix pads. From what I was told, the performance of the brakes is dependent on the combination of materials in the pad and the rotors. It was comforting to know that the pad and rotors come from the same manufacturer, hence some level of guarantee the disk & Pad combination has been considered.

These are the front ones:

And the rear ones:
