Best pads and rotors for 2008 wk

Looking to see what people recommend for new pads and rotors? Also when did you replace your rotors?

Re: Best pads and rotors for 2008 wk

Ill be dong my rears soon.I dont think im gonna replace the rotors. Theyve got a couple of little line scratches in them but If they look worse when I remove them I might just have the local guy give them a quick cleanup with the cutter. For pads Im gonna get the wagner ceramics off of amazon. Ive got prime so for under 25 bucks shipped is a decent deal. Cheaper than advance auto can do, even with all the good online discount codes the have. I believe ceramic is oe on these. Also if youre removing the rear rotors, dont forget to remove the rubber o ring thats around the hub. If you dont remove this you will have a heck of a time getting the rotor off the hub. Its hard to see that its there. Its usually covered in crud.

Re: Best pads and rotors for 2008 wk

On my last commander, I put the Stillen drilled/sloted rotors on. They were great. I traded it in shortly after that (facepalm). On my WK, I just had Les Schwab put on their "performance" rotors all around. I've had them for probably 40k and do quite a bit of city driving and they haven't warped yet.

Warping rotors has been my biggest complaint on the mopar OEM rotors.

If I did it again, I'd probably get the Stillen product.
