yes...the wk bilsteins were a little too bouncy for me.

How come in that post Ballajim linked ( The complete (05-10) WK Grand Cherokee suspension thread ) about all the options in shocks/struts for the WK you said,

These IMO are an awesome addition to any WK. Handling is crisp, no more "floaty" feel and no more bounce when go over bumps etc. Excellent replacement for the stocks struts/shocks!
Have you changed your mind since because of trying better shocks/struts for normal ride height or because you like the SRT performance ride better and the Bilsteins are still way better than OEM?

Re: Best Shocks and Struts

I have the SRT8 springs on my WK and was looking at the Bilstein HD shocks. But it says works with the factory springs. Does this mean I will run into a problem using them with the SRT8 springs? Has anyone done this setup and had a premature failure because of it? Just don't want to spend $500 to purchase and have them installed and then in 6 months need new ones because of SRT8 springs.

Also, it says the stock WK Bilstiens will not fit on the SRT8. Is this because there is a different setup? Meaning if I purchased the SRT8 shocks/struts, they wouldn't fit on my WK?

I will let Scott chime in, but yes the WK Bilsteins are WAY better than stock, and from what I have gathered from Scott, the SRT Bilsteins are WAY better than the WK's...I really like my Bilsteins, vastly improved over stock, but I can feel what scott is talking about, there still is a little bounce in them, but not bad enough for me to want to switch.........yet HAHA

I was speaking of them compared to the stockers and over bumps that i got bounciness really bad on the stockers. There is still some bounciness and a little floatiness compared to the Srt Bilsteins. The WK bilsteins hd's are still better than thee stockers...just not that sporty ride/handling that i wanted

That is what I thought you were saying, I just wanted to clarify because everyone likes their Jeeps to ride differently. I was close to lowering mine and putting on SRT stuff, but I have decided to just save my money and either buy an SRT8 or go some other direction in the future. My OEM shocks lasted about 100k miles and just put some Bilsteins on the WK this week. I am really happy with them so far, not enough miles to really judge them yet though.

Funny side note, after I picked up the Jeep from the place that put them on for me the Jeep looked different, but I couldn't put a finger on it. Then I read your post of shocks and noticed that it said Bilsteins raise the Jeep about 3/8s of an inch lol. I was surprised that I could recognize that small of a change on it, but I really like it.

I've wanted to get the rear sway bar for a while now since I've heard it's around $100 and simple to install. I'm look around to see what additional pieces I need, but am confused if I need the triangle piece or not. And JustforJeeps sells the SRT kit for $300, way more than I think it should be. Where are you ordering yours from? PM the link if you find one.
