I just went to a shop and the told me the largest tire I could fit on my 2005 jeep grand Cherokee 3.7L v6 was a 245 70 17 is this true... What sizes do you guys have on your keeps .. only upgrade I have on my suspension is the upgraded bilstine shocks
That may be true with factory wheels, but with my AEV Pintlers, and zero suspension upgrades, I'm using 265/70/17 with no rubbing issues whatsoever. The same size could probably be used if you had spacers as well. Or 265/65/17 depending on the tread.
Its the rims he has. I have 255/70/17's on my 05 4.7 with no mods. If I cut the bolt, did the pinch weld and got some small spacers I could fit 265/75/17's no problem. Those mods are mostly labor, you can cut the bolt and do the pinch weld yourself, and spacers are less the 350 for the set.
